On October 31, 2024, Europe’s first flow trail built specifically for adaptive mountain bikes was officially opened in Kobenz. This project, carried out as part of a larger initiative funded by LEADER, represents a significant step toward inclusion in sports.
What Makes This Trail Special
The Hoftal Trail stretches for about one kilometer and offers a smooth, flowing route that is suitable for both beginners and experienced riders. The trail’s wide design ensures a high level of safety and riding enjoyment.
RESET’s Participation and Impressions
RESET was present at the trail’s opening and showcased the Ranger, our specially designed handbike for adaptive mountain bikers. Visitors were able to admire the Ranger, though they couldn’t test it yet, which left a strong impression on them. The reactions on site were consistently positive, and many were enthusiastic about the opportunities the trail offers for greater inclusion in the sport.
A Significant Step Toward Inclusion in Sports
For us, this trail is a true milestone for inclusive sports. We hope that such flagship projects will continue to drive the positive trend toward greater inclusion in the world of sports. The trail in Kobenz demonstrates just how much potential sports hold when we make them more accessible to everyone, regardless of their abilities.
